	Lake Effect Snow Warning
Statement as of 8:42 PM EST on January 08, 2009 ... Lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 4 PM EST Friday... Bands of lake effect snow will continue overnight... heavy at times. New accumulations in the heaviest bands will be in the 4 to 8 inch range... mainly over the higher elevations as far east as western Allegany County. Lake effect bands are likely Friday as well with another 4 to 8 inches in the most persistent lake snows. In lake effect snow the weather can vary from locally heavy snow in narrow bands to clear skies just a few miles away. If you will be traveling across the region be prepared for rapid changes in Road and visibility conditions.
