Statement as of 2:40 PM EST on January 08, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST Friday... ... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Friday night through Saturday evening... The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from late Friday night through Saturday evening. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST Friday. Snow showers will continue overnight. Most locations in the advisory area will see an additional 1 to 3 inches with higher amounts on the ridges. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that roads will be snow covered. Use caution when traveling. A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow... 6 inches or more... that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. |
